Calista…………she has kept us busy this year while waiting for the birth of her foal. Never before has a mistake been made in the due delivery period, but this time it was! From 01-06-2017 the camera surveillance and birth detector started and 6 restless weeks started. She was very round, but otherwise there was no sign of an upcoming birth. Until a friend remembered that I had informed her in an app message from the end of 2016 that the last delivery was scheduled for mid-September! A reason to move this lady to the summer pasture with peace of mind and enjoy the holiday period without interrupting nights. Still planned a short holiday week on Vlieland, which was rudely interrupted after 3 days on 23-08-2017 with a phone call that there was a foal in the pasture! Called the aid troops and tried to return home from a "wadden island" as quickly as possible. A very healthy, fully grown, healthy and lively bright white mare foal from Calista/Hobby Horse Fabio with a fox-colored head looked at me insightfully, what a miracle!!!. Thank you Calista for this beautiful experience, just in the meadow, among her friends, and an experience richer......it's ready when it's ready.

It sometimes takes a while to find a name, every time I looked at her I had an association with red – redhead, while she is not that at all. Her head will turn absolutely white due to coloring. But red had to be included in the name! ……… a ruby is red, so Rubí Resto Cazador.
